Allow clients to sign up
Turn on client signup, choose whether admin approval is required, set the form, and see where the client registers on the website and the app.
On this page
Who is this lesson for?
- System admin: turns signup on, sets the form, and copies the public link.
- Sales manager: approves or rejects a new registration when approval is required.
- The client: registers from the login page, the public link, or the client app. They do not open this settings page.
Before you start
- You need permission to manage app settings.
- This is how a client registers themselves. To add a client yourself, use Ways to add a client. To convert a lead, use Convert a lead to a client.
- A deal is not required for signup.
Open Client Settings
From the menu: Settings → App Settings. Open the Client Settings tab.

Allow Client Signup is off until you tick it. Form title is the heading on the public form. Leave it empty to use Sign Up as Customer.
Allow Client Signup
Tick Allow Client Signup. Need admin approval after client signup appears next to it.

- Leave approval off if the client should enter as soon as they register.
- Tick approval if you will review each registration first. They wait until you Approve.
Set Form title if you want a heading other than Sign Up as Customer. Then Save under this panel.
The same tab has Client performance indicators. That rating is in Performance ratings. It is not required to open signup.
Copy the Client Signup URL

Client Signup URL is the public page. Click Copy and send it, or put it on your website. The client uses this link to register.
Registration fields and Preview

Registration fields are what the client sees. Drag a row to change the order. The switch turns a field on or off. Name, Email, and Password stay on.
Add field adds an extra question (text, number, dropdown, and the other types). Then Save on that field.
Preview is the public page. Until you save Allow Client Signup, it shows Client sign up is disabled by admin. After you save, the form appears: company name, the form title, and Create your account for the company.
Where the client sees it
- The public link: the Client Signup URL from Step 3.
- The company login page: the button Sign Up as Customer appears only after signup is allowed.
- The client app: New here? Create your membership to join. then Register a new membership. That button appears only when signup is allowed.
If they still see that signup is disabled, Allow Client Signup is off, or you did not Save.
Approve a registration
If you ticked admin approval, the client waits. Open Clients, then Account verification pending.

Open the person. Approve lets them log in. Reject asks for a reason; they can register again. A notification reaches them on the app.
On the app they see that the account is waiting for admin approval until you approve.
What happens after?
- The new person is a client. Daily work is in Work with clients.
- If you added them yourself instead, set Login Allowed? on that client. That is not the same as this public signup.
- App login with a QR code from the client file is for someone who is already a client. It is not this form.
