Approve or reject overtime
Pending hours wait on Timesheet. Approve them so they count, or reject them. Same lesson in Human Resources: overtime starts from attendance and ends on the task hours.

Who is this lesson for?
- Company admin and managers with permission to approve time logs.
- HR: overtime after the shift is created from attendance, then waits here.
- Employees: they log the hours. They do not approve their own overtime.
This lesson belongs to Projects & tasks and to Human Resources together: the hours sit on a task or a project, and they start from the shift.
What does this page do?
Timesheet lists every hour: from Log Time, from Start Timer, and from Auto overtime (attendance). A Pending row waits for your decision. On the row menu you have Approve and Reject. Approve counts the hours. Reject keeps the row as Rejected — the hours do not go to the project or to payroll.
Before you start
- In Time Log Settings turn on Timelog will require approval.
- For overtime after the shift: Auto overtime (create pending time log when clock-out is after shift end) in attendance settings.
- You need the permission Approve Timelogs.
Open Timesheet
From the menu: Timesheet. You can filter Status: Pending, Approved, Rejected, or Active.

A pending overtime row from attendance has the memo Auto overtime (attendance). Status is Pending (yellow). Rows you already accepted show Approved (green). Hours you refused show Rejected (red). A timer you stopped is Pending too when approval is on.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting. Approve so the hours count, or Reject so they do not. |
| Approved | The hours count on the project, the task, and reports. They can move to payroll when that option is on. |
| Rejected | The row stays on Timesheet. The hours do not count and they do not go to payroll. |
| Active | The timer is still running. Approve and Reject appear after you stop it. |
Approve one row
Open the row menu. You see View, Approve, Reject, Edit, and Delete. Press Approve.

The status becomes Approved, with Approved By.

Approve or reject several rows
Tick the rows → Change Status → Approve or Reject → Apply.

Reject the hours
If the hours must not count — overtime by mistake, or hours you do not accept — open the same row menu and choose Reject.

The status becomes Rejected. The row stays. The hours do not count.

You can still Approve a rejected row later. Delete removes the row from the table if you do not need it at all.
The app
Open Time logs. A pending row shows Pending. Swipe Approve so the hours count. Swipe Reject so they do not. On the row, the same actions.
What happens after?
- Approved hours count on the project, the task, and time-log reports.
- If payroll adds time logs to the slip, only approved hours move there.
- Pending hours stay out of totals until you approve them.
- Rejected hours stay on Timesheet as Rejected. They do not count.
Common questions
No Approve on the row?
You need Approve Timelogs, and the timer must be stopped.
How do I refuse hours?
On the row menu choose Reject. The row stays Rejected and the hours do not count.
Hours missing from payroll?
They must be Approved first. Then the payroll option to add time logs must be on.
