Project discussion and notes
Discussion is a thread on the project: title, category, replies. Notes are records on the project — public or private — not a chat. Messages is a separate module.

Who is this lesson for?
- Company admin and employees on the project.
- Clients: see discussion if they can open the project. They see a note only when it is marked visible to the client.
What is the difference?
| Discussion | Notes | Messages | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where | On this project, Discussion tab | On this project, Notes tab | Menu: Messages. Not on the project |
| What it is | A thread. People reply | A record. Not a chat | Direct or group chat |
| Who sees it | Project members (and the client if they can open the project) | Public: members. Private: the people you pick. Optional: client, password | Only people in that conversation |
Open the project. Tabs include Discussion and Notes.
Before you start
